Contac Datentechnik and GRAU DATA are offering the latest OpenArchive solution. The open-source software enables secure and efficient archiving of large volumes of data. OpenArchive uses file-system-based HSM methods and manages the archive structure so that each file is stored at the lowest possible cost and with reasonable recall times.

For companies that need to manage and archive extremely large amounts of data with even higher availability, the two companies offer an upgrade option to XtreemStore. The highly scalable object storage eliminates the limitations of classic hierarchical storage management (HSM) in traditional file systems and archives data locally or in the cloud on disk and tape media via an S3 interface.
