GRAU DATA to Showcase Audit-Compliant Archiving and Ransomware Blockers at conhIT 2018

At the Connecting Healthcare IT (conhIT) trade show in Berlin, GRAU DATA will present its proven and audit-proof WORM archiving solution, FileLock, as well as its new ransomware blocker, Blocky, under the theme “WORM File System for Compliant Archiving and Ransomware Protection in the Healthcare Sector.” Trade show visitors can see live demonstrations and receive detailed information from GRAU DATA at booth D-118 in Hall 4.2.

FileLock: WORM Software Solution with High Security Standards

FileLock facilitates cost-effective and audit-proof WORM archiving of data on NTFS file systems. The software is hardware-independent, can be used with any existing hard drive infrastructure, and is suitable for both physical and virtualized environments. Replication with hash value comparison and the integrated automatic failover in the cluster guarantee secure long-term archiving of sensitive and valuable data. The FileLock software is certified by KPMG in accordance with the new legal guidelines (GoBD/SEC).

Blocky: Effective ransomware protection independent of standard security solutions

Blocky is the latest software solution from GRAU DATA and protects data from malicious encryption by ransomware. Blocky is based on the time-tested WORM technology of the Windows-based FileLock software. FileLock also offers the highest level of protection against ransomware as a built-in system feature, since it prevents any changes from being made. In day-to-day operations, however, modifying data is common and necessary. Blocky now combines both features. Data is protected against ransomware, yet authorized applications—such as backup software or a PACS server—can modify the data at any time. This solution protects all associated data on the last possible line of defense, “The Last Line of Defense,” against unauthorized modifications and thus also against malicious encryption by cybercriminals.
